Llanelly House offers a range of activities for children and special promotions during school holidays, as well as our all year round, digital treasure hunt using iPad minis, and the family tree building exercise exploring the families who once lived in Llanelly House. The timeline game in the Red Cotton Room aids children in discovering the House and Llanelli’s history on our interactive multi-touch digital table. All of these activities have been incorporated to help pupils make the most of touring this Grand Georgian Home.

The Llanelly House Digital Treasure Hunt

Time: 1 hour

A great interactive Treasure Trail using our in-house iPad Minis to follow the clues and try to solve some of the mysteries of Llanelly House and find its treasures.

Children will:

  • Experience new technology to track clues around Llanelly House.
  • Interactive timeline game.
  • Discover the unique art work and designs used in the Georgian period.
  • Uncover interesting facts about the lives of the Georgians and Victorians in Llanelli.
  • Find out about the characters who lived at Llanelly House.

Cost: Included in digital tour (all children to be accompanied by an adult) £1.00 hire charge.

Llanelly Main Library:

If you wish to come to Llanelli for the day, Llanelli’s Main Library is next door and is willing to offer an afternoon or morning session of research for the children. The theme of the visit would be researching various topics touched upon during the visit to Llanelly House.
